1. Visit different beach access points throughout the island
One of our favorite beach access points is at the very north end of Anna Maria. A little spot called Bean Point. This is a private beach area with limited street parking. This is the go to spot for family photos and sunsets. It’s known for its tall sea grass and sand dunes. Definitely one thing you need to do in Anna Maria Island!
2. Bike and Golf Cart Rentals
Once you are on Anna Maria Island you will quickly feel the relaxed vibe of Island Time. Bikes and golf carts are one of the go to ways of getting around the island. The Speed limit on the island is 20 miles an hour. You’ll find riding around in your golf cart is a great way to see the island and be out in the open breeze. 3. Ginny’s & Jane E’s Cafe and Gift Store
This is a family favorite on the island. Although there are many delicious restaurants and beach front dinning options, Ginny and Janes is a fun place to stop for breakfast or lunch while exploring their fun handmade trinkets. It’s a fun cafe and artsy gift shop in one. They have awesome local beach artwork and gifts. Your guaranteed to find very unique souvenir here and enjoy and awesome coffee.
4. Rod And Reel Pier
Many vacationers over look the rod and reel pier! Id recommend checking it out! There are often sightings of manatees and manta rays! This is the hiden gem for local fishing!
5. After Dark on Bradenton Beach
If you haven’t visited the beach after dark you are missing out. Especially on a full moon! This is the most peaceful thing to do on the island. Walking the beach in the moonlight is a fun way to explore the beach without the crowd and it is well lit most nights by the night sky!
